  2. How do I do a Business Plan? – The Australian Government have developed a Business Plan Template and Guide to step you through the process of developing a business plan that is solid, well-structured and tailored to your business. There is also heaps of other business information on the website.

  3. Are you eligible for NEIS? The New Enterprise Incentive Scheme, known as NEIS (sounds like ‘niece’), is a federally funded new business assistance program that has been running for over 30 years. In Gippsland, the program is run by Konekt Employment who are a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) offering accredited small business training. If you are eligible for the NEIS Scheme, it offers the following benefits:

    • either a Certificate IV in New Small Business or Certificate III in Micro-Business Operations

    • Business Mentoring and Personalised support in the first year of your business

    • NEIS Allowance of up to 39 weeks (if eligible) and Rental Assistance up to 26 weeks (if eligible)
